2024-2025: A Year of Connection and Resilience
In 2024-2025, the Center for International Relations and Cultural Leadership Exchange (CIRCLE) celebrated another academic year filled with meaningful connections, warmth and accomplishments. Despite facing significant challenges, including budget constraints and a difficult national environment for our international students, we maintained our commitment to creating a “Home Away from Home” for international students and fostering a global experience for all Huskies. We focused on consolidating resources and expanding revenue this year and thanks to our dedicated staff and passionate students, we successfully navigated these challenges, culminating in another successful and impactful year.

Support CIRCLE to Broaden Impact
The 2024-2025 academic year was difficult for many of our international students, and the new year is bringing similar challenges. The UW has experienced a 7% decrease in international enrollment for autumn 2025, and requests for emergency aid have tripled. Additionally, there has been a significant increase in student needs related to health and wellbeing, financial stress, adapting to academic culture, navigating the current climate and limited job prospects.
Your generous support is crucial in addressing these issues. It enables us to enhance and expand services such as emergency aid, success and well-being coaching, and career readiness support. With your continued generosity, we aim to broaden our impact in 2025-2026. Every gift makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our international Huskies.
Thank you for partnering with us to create a “Home Away from Home” for international students at the UW!
