Council Chair Mary Pat Wenderoth
A recent recipient of the UW’s Distinguished Teaching Award, Dr. Wenderoth has been teaching since 1979. She holds a doctoral degree in physiology from Rush Medical College, Chicago, and did her post-doctorate in the biochemistry department at the UW. Wenderoth, a senior lecturer in the Department of Zoology and the Biology Program, approaches teaching as a means to empower her students to think like scientists.
