Head shot of Caroline Shelton, DirectorCaroline Shelton, Youth Protection Coordinator (she/her)

I have over 20 years experience supporting children and youth in school, child care, community and non-profit settings. My work history emphasizes professional education and training, systems-level capacity building, program development and program quality improvement. I received a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Multiethnic Practice from UW in 2001.

Erin Esteban Mejia (she/her/ella)

I have over 18 years experience working in a non-profit community sexual assault advocacy program.  As a bilingual (Spanish/English) family advocate, I supported and advocated for sexual assault survivors of all ages, as well as provided education and support to parents and caregivers of youth who experienced sexual abuse.  I received a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice, Victimology Specialization, from Seattle University in 2013.

Faith Eades, OYPC program assistant

This year I am completing the MSW program at the UW, with plans to graduate next June. I moved from Indiana to Seattle about four years ago and am so thankful for the beauty of Washington and for the easy access to outdoor sports like skiing, hiking, and rock climbing. I have loved my time at the UW, and I am so eager to be a part of the Youth Protection team!

Bryn Pinkerton, Project Manager
I have worked with youth in a variety of athletics, school, child care, community, and non profit settings. My professional history has evolved across service delivery, program management, learning and development, performance and quality improvement, and project management. I earned a Bachelor of Arts & Science in Organismal Biology and International Development Studies from McGill University in 2015. I enjoy collaborating across the UW community to support the Office of the Youth Protection Coordinator.
