After You Arrive

There are some important steps all new international students must follow once you arrive in the United States.

All students

First-year & Transfer Students

Attend your reserved A&O Part 3 (in person)

Exchange students

Attend your J-1 Orientation on September 25 (in person)

Graduate Students

Attend your Departmental Orientation (check with your department for any required orientation) 

Pick up your Husky Card (in person)

Once you arrive on campus, be sure to pick up your Husky Card from the Husky Card Office on the ground floor of Odegaard Library. Your Husky Card is an important identification card for UW and will give you access to your UPass (to use for public transit), your dining plan, and other services.
