The University of Washington's Amgen Scholars Program provides a new and important opportunity for some of the nation's top undergraduates to explore and prepare for careers in biotechnology. 26-28 undergraduates each summer are selected from a national pool of applicants as well as those currently enrolled at the UW. In addition to intensive research experiences, participants benefit from graduate student, post-doctoral and faculty mentors.
Meet the 2009 Summer Institute Scholars
The theme of this year's Institute is "Shifting Empire: Critical Imperial Studies in the Americas and Beyond." Students and faculty will examine the concept of empire through diverse perspectives.
