Access presentation resources from the undergraduate research Dawg Daze events hosted on campus during Autumn 2024!
The Office of Undergraduate Research is thankful to Dawg Daze event participants. We recognize that due to room capacity and timing, not all students had the opportunity to learn more about the UW and undergraduate research. Given this, we wanted to share the resources we talked about yesterday with all undergraduate students considering getting into research while at the UW!
Start your journey into undergraduate research through our Begin Your Research Journey– a digital guide and webpages dedicated to defining and understanding research, exploring the introductory building blocks to set you up for success, and ultimately identifying your pathway into research.
Get started through the navigation menu above, or start at asking the question, What is Undergraduate Research? From this guide, access tools like the undergraduate research database, 1:1 advising, and more!
As part of the introductory building blocks, join undergraduate research advisors from the office in an in-person event, Begin Your Research Adventure: Key Tools and Resources. Occurring monthly, all autumn 2024 dates are still being laid out, but join us for the first event on 15 October 2024 from 3PM to 4PM in Mary Gates Hall Suite 171, Room 173R!
Find and keep up to date with future event dates on our event webpage.
Don’t pass up on the opportunity to enjoy free coffee, donuts, and tea! Plus, enjoy the opportunity to talk with other students interested in getting into research or students well-established in a research environment! Join us on the first Friday of every month starting 4 October 2024 from 12PM to 1:30PM in Mary Gates Hall Suite 171, Multi-purpose Room!
The first café will be hosted in Mary Gates Hall Commons to accommodate all first-year students! Learn more and keep up to date with future event dates on our event webpage.
Last, but certainly, access the UW Libraries, providing resources and tools for students including undergraduate researchers. Explore various guides across all 15 libraries, from speciality and discipline-specific, to collaborative tools like the UW Libraries Research Tutorial course.
Thank you, from the Office of Undergraduate Research, for all of those who attended. If you have questions, never hesitate to reach out to our office via the contact information provided.
