We believe students from all economic backgrounds should have the opportunity to attend the University of Washington. Finances should not be a barrier to getting a world-class education. We have a wide array of federal, state and institutional financial aid programs to help students at all economic levels pay for their education. The Graduate School and the academic departments provide the majority of financial assistance to graduate and professional students at the UW so be sure to check with them as well in your search for financial assistance. The Office of Student Financial Aid awards and coordinates the major financial aid loan programs for graduate and professional students as well as need-based institutional grant programs.
We understand that funding a college education takes careful planning and often requires tapping a variety of financial resources. Together, our offices are here to help you determine whether you qualify for aid, assist you in applying for aid and, finally, make sure you receive it.
Please explore our website for more information on financial aid and connect with the Graduate School for more sources of assistance.
