Sociology and OMA&D Spain: Challenges in Contemporary Spain
Held during Early Fall Start in partnership with the Department of Sociology, this program takes students to three parts of Spain to learn about some of the critical issues affecting Spanish society in the wake of the global economic crisis. There are opportunities to meet and talk to people involved with politics and social movements, as well as visit important Spanish sites.
Most of the program will be held at the UW Leon Center, taking advantage of the center’s connections to the local community. Students also spend time in Madrid and Barcelona.
The dates of the 2020 program are Aug. 24 – Sept. 15.
