Guide to Undergraduate Research at UW









  • Attend a URP information session. These are held multiple times each quarter and offer a chance for you to meet URP staff and have your questions answered about the basics of research.
  • Register for General Studies 391: Research Exposed!. This one-credit hour course is offered every Autumn and Winter Quarter and features lectures from UW faculty about research issues and ethics in a wide range of academic disciplines.
  • Attend (and volunteer for) the Undergraduate Research Symposium! This annual event features hundreds of undergraduate researchers and is a great place to learn about the kinds of research opportunities available at UW.
  • View Undergraduate Researcher Leader profiles to get ideas and perspectives from experienced undergraduate researchers in a variety of fields.
