UW Launches Web Site Featuring Resources for Undocumented Students

The University of Washington has launched a new web site to serve as a resource hub for prospective and current undocumented students at all three campuses.

The site – www.washington.edu/admissions/undocumented – provides information about the UW application process, financial aid, housing and academic support options. It also connects undocumented students to a variety of resources, including the new Leadership Without Borders Center that is housed in the Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity’s (OMA&D) Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center.

“In April 2015, UW leadership wrote a letter for National Institutions Coming Out Day affirming support for the right of undocumented youth to seek education at our state’s public universities,” said Interim Vice President for Minority Affairs and Vice Provost for Diversity Gabriel Gallardo. “It was a significant step towards making public our support and commitment for undocumented students, and this web site is just one of the ways we are making this support more visible.”
