We’re all guilty of the occasional lapse into jargon. (“At the end of the day,” anyone?) Blogger Brad Shorr offers both a list of words to avoid and alternatives to make your writing clearer and more powerful.

We noticed Brad forgot to include “30-thousand-foot view” on his list of phrases to avoid. Any university-specific jargon you’d add?
