Yes! This program is designed for students with no prior research experience! We do not expect students to come in with any knowledge about research.

Yes! As long as you are not graduating during the program duration (2025-2027), you are eligible for the program.

Yes! You are still eligible to apply for this program as long as you have not conducted faculty-mentored research outside of a class.

The seminar is a critical component of the program as it will prepare you for your research experience and serve as a support system for you. You must enroll in the seminar during Winter and Spring 2026 to be in the program. Please contact us if you have concerns about this.

No. Confirming your participation means committing to the research area and mentor for the entire program duration. However, we’re happy to support you in discussing with your mentor about exploring a different part of the research project or developing different research skills that are better aligned with your interests.

You will receive a scholarship of $8,000 to support your participation in the program over the 5 quarters. You will receive $1,600 each quarter.
