In addition to a programming class, students in the Summer Academy for Advancing Deaf & Hard of Hearing in Computing completed an Animation class. The following are examples of animation shorts completed by teams of Summer Academy students in the Animation class. These videos demonstrate the Summer Academy students' creativity, ingenuity, and skill in storytelling.
During the summers of 2007 through 2013, an academically challenging program designed for deaf and hard of hearing students with skills in math and/or science who were considering computing as a career was offered at the University of Washington in Seattle.
