Office Hours
The Financial Aid Office is open for in-person & phones:
Monday & Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 1 pm - 5 pm. Phones close at 4:45 pm daily.

Winter Quarter Aid Disbursement
Financial aid for Winter quarter will begin disbursing on December 31. Aid is first disbursed to your student account to pay your tuition and fees. Any remaining balance will be sent to your bank if you have signed up for direct deposit and should be available beginning January 5. 2015-16 Financial Aid
The 2015-16 FAFSA is available as of January 1, 2015. The UW's priority deadline for filing the FAFSA is February 28. Don't wait until the last minute - file early. You may use estimated taxes if you or your parents have not yet filed your taxes for 2014. The UW's school code is 003798.

Real Hope Act
Review details about the Real Hope Act, extending State Need Grant eligibility to some undocumented residents. The priority deadline to complete the application for 2015-16 is February 28, 2015. Additional information about this program can be found here.

Undergraduate students may use our Financial Aid Estimator | Net Price Calculator to assist in calculating estimated financial aid awards.

Financial Aid Status on MyUW
You can view your Financial Aid Status on MyUW to see your award details, accept your aid, view messages, check on the status of documents you have submitted to our office and sign up for direct deposit.

2014-15 Financial Aid
The Priority Filing Deadline for 2014-15 has passed but you may still file a FAFSA as a late applicant. Carefully read all of the information about the application process and transmit your 2014-15 FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA as soon as possible. You must list the "University of Washington-Seattle" Code #003798.

Additional Information and Videos
There are a variety of resources to help you understand the type of aid you might be eligible for and how to apply for aid. In addition, there are videos to help you complete the FAFSA and use the IRS data retrieval tool.

Direct Loan Exit Counseling
If you have borrowed a Federal Direct Stafford, Unsubsidized Stafford, and/or Graduate Plus loan, you are required to complete Exit Counseling when you graduate or are no longer enrolled at least half-time at the UW. For more details, see the Exit Counseling Guide.
