HUSKY PAWKET GUIDE
FROM THE DESK OF DR. DENZIL SUITE
UW DIVISION OF STUDENT LIFE
Hello Huskies,
To say that there is a lot going on right now in the United States and the world is an understatement. The news and current events can feel overwhelming for many of us and bring a complex range of emotions.
However you are feeling, know that you are not alone, and there are resources available to support you. The Counseling Center offers groups, drop-in help, crisis support and more, LiveWell’s Peer Wellness Coaches can help you cope with stress and anxiety, and this short video on dealing with uncertainty from our Counseling Center director provides some actionable tips.
You might find it helpful to do things like connecting with your friends, getting outside, taking a media break (including social media), volunteering in our community or engaging in an activity like therapeutic journaling.
Whatever you do, I encourage you to use the support resources that are here for you. Take good care of yourself, and each other.
Sincerely,
Denzil
