Hello Huskies,
Spring is here, and that brings three things to our campus:
- Midterms. If you need study help for exams, or at any other time of the quarter, there are abundant academic support resources available, including departmental advising, test prep, tutoring and exam reviews.
- Commencement. This is one of my favorite days of the year! I can’t wait to celebrate with all of our graduating students and their families. If you’re graduating in June, consult the graduation checklist to make sure you’re on track.
- Spring weather. Be sure to enjoy some sun during these final weeks of the year. Being outdoors is great for your mental and physical health, so give yourself a boost by studying outside, going for a walk or heading to the Waterfront Activities Center to spend some time on the water.
Sincerely,
Denzil
Husky Experience
Report hazing anonymously with new tool
If you see or experience hazing at the UW, you can now report it anonymously with RealResponse. Text 206-203-3435, and a UW staff member will guide you through the reporting process during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.). Photos and videos are welcome. With RealResponse, your identity stays private unless you choose to share it. Your voice matters — let’s work together to keep our campus safe and respectful for everyone by preventing hazing. The Student Technology Fee funds this tool.
Connections
Better Together Service Day with BECU
Join the UW Alumni Association, BECU and the U District Partnership for a volunteer service day in the U District on Sunday, May 4, from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. Many of the community members and small businesses in the U District could use support right now, and our Huskies are here to offer a helping hand! Volunteers will work with neighborhood organizations on issues from litter to graffiti to food insecurity.
Meet 2025 Husky 100!
Congratulations to the 2025 Husky 100! This year’s 100 outstanding undergraduate, graduate and professional students hail from all three UW campuses and are pursuing 78 different areas of study, connecting what they’re learning in the classroom to our community and our world. Thank you, Husky 100 2025 cohort, for your passion, leadership and commitment!
Help make the UW a better place
The UW Campus Climate Survey is open April 22 through May 22, and your input is essential! The survey covers a broad range of experiences, from questions about inclusion and belonging to questions about sex- and gender-based violence, harassment or discrimination. Take the survey to help ensure that our UW campuses and other facilities are welcoming, open and understanding places to learn, conduct research and work.
