Vote until midnight tomorrow, Oct. 23, on Facebook to help choose the winners of the W Day 2013 Husky Spirit Photo Contest. The photo contest is part of the runup to this year’s W Day, Friday, Oct. 25.

W Day festivities, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Red Square, will include live music from Pickwick, giveaways and Dollars for Dawgs – where you can get a hot dog and drink for a suggested donation to the Husky Pride Fund.

Wear purple or UW-licensed gear to be eligible that day for promotions and discounts from participating local retailers.

A “Love Purple, Raise Gold” online giving campaign hopes to hear from 1,152 donors – in honor of the UW’s 152nd birthday. The campaign starts Oct. 23 at 1:52 p.m. – of course – and continues for 48 hours.

Entries in the Husky Spirit Photo Contest were submitted earlier this month in three categories: future Huskies (kids 10 and under), top dawg (pets) and the general category Husky spirit. Along with winners determined by popular vote, there will also be three best-in-show winners selected by UW alumni judges.
