Columns
An easy way to format content into columns in storytelling modules.
The columns STM allows you to put a copy block, image, or quote block in either column. Below are examples of what you can do with this feature.
NOTE: For a text/image combination, it is best practice to put the text block in the left column and the image in the right column. This aids in accessibility and readability for these reasons:
- Screen readers convey information in the order they processes it. If the image is placed first, there may not be enough context yet to make sense of what the user is receiving.
- Left to right reading is standard for most readers of English, so putting the text on the left increases readability and tends to reduce cognitive load.
