 Week 1: Biomedical Customer Discovery and Competitive Analysis

January 20, 2022, 2-3pm

This event kicks off a series of four weekly fireside chats in the WE-REACH Biomedical Innovation Bootcamp where industry experts, startup founders, and investors share their insights with new innovators.

Panelists in this first session bring expertise in product development, behavioral science, clinical research, market assessment, and design thinking to a discussion highlighting essentials for teams that are ramping up their ability to quickly assess the potential of their innovation n the biomedical marketplace. Week 2: Biomedical Regulatory Strategy and Product Development
January 27, 2022, 2-3pm

This is the second event in a four-part series of fireside chats that are part of the WE-REACH Biomedical Innovation Bootcamp.  These events highlight industry experts, startup founders, and investors who share insights and advice to help new innovators ramp up quickly.

Most new innovators don’t realize how much needs to be done to meet the requirements and gain clearance or approval from the FDA allowing them to market their products. Even after a product is on the market specific quality systems must be maintained. Don’t be caught off-guard, come learn about the design, testing, monitoring, and data reporting necessary to move from a bench prototype to a commercial product, whether it’s a medical device or therapeutic. Panelists will bring stories based on their experience as they highlight key FDA processes and associated product development steps.

Week 3: Biomedical Business Models, Budgets, and Funding Sources

February 3, 2022, 2-3pm

This is the third event in a four-part series of fireside chats that are part of the WE-REACH Biomedical Innovation Bootcamp.  These events highlight industry experts, startup founders, and investors who share insights and advice to help new innovators ramp up quickly.

As new innovation teams delve into customer discovery they may find assumptions about their potential customer base changes. Business models may need adjustment as it becomes clear who the purchaser of a product or service will be and what their priorities are.  There are many potential sources of funding for a business depending on the business model. Come hear from these experienced entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to discover what proved critical in their successes as they found working business models and funding sources.

Week 4: PNW Regional Resources for Biomedical Startups

February 10, 2022, 2-3pm

This is the final event in a four-part series of fireside chats that are part of the WE-REACH Biomedical Innovation Bootcamp.  These events highlight industry experts, startup founders, and investors who share insights and advice to help new innovators ramp up quickly.

The Regional Resources panel will be discussing entrepreneur support “front doors”. Join us in exploring how entrepreneurs can identify and access life science startup resources and programs. We will also talk about our scopes of engagement and referral patterns in the ecosystem.
