As new innovation teams delve into customer discovery they may find assumptions about their potential customer base changes. Business models may need adjustment as it becomes clear who the purchaser of a product or service will be and what their priorities are. There are many potential sources of funding for a business depending on the business model. Come hear from these experienced entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to discover what proved critical in their successes as they found working business models and funding sources.
Week 3: Biomedical Regulatory Strategy and Product Development

Most new innovators don’t realize how much needs to be done to meet the requirements and gain clearance or approval from the FDA allowing them to market their products. Even after a product is on the market specific quality systems must be maintained. Don’t be caught off-guard, come learn about the design, testing, monitoring, and data reporting necessary to move from a bench prototype to a commercial product, whether it’s a medical device or therapeutic. Panelists will bring stories based on their experience as they highlight key FDA processes and associated product development steps.
