Autumn Resources & Opportunities (Volume 4) Husky Pawket Guide

HUSKY PAWKET GUIDE

FROM THE DESK OF DR. DENZIL SUITE
UW DIVISION OF STUDENT LIFE

Hello Huskies,

At this time of year, many of us spend time thinking about what we’re grateful for. The practice of gratitude — reflecting on it and expressing it — is good for our mental health and strengthens our connections to the people in our lives.

In this busy season, I encourage you to pause for a few moments each day and think about what you’re grateful for. I also encourage you to share your gratitude by participating in the Husky Gratitude Challenge from LiveWell! You can find details about that below.

In this season and always, I am grateful for each of you and for our Husky community.

Sincerely,

Denzil

Health and Well-Being

Test Fest: Get yourself tested this month

Husky Health Center and ASUW are excited to bring back Test Fest! This FREE event, happening through Nov. 18, is available to all students to get tested for sexually transmitted infections (aka STIs).

Just sign up, show up, swab or pee into a cup, find out if you have gonorrhea or chlamydia. It’s that easy. And it’s important: more than 70% of chlamydia and gonorrhea cases can go undetected. So get yourself tested!

Please note that this event is for asymptomatic patients only; call Husky Health Center at 206-685-1011 to schedule an appointment for treatment if you have symptoms. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Test Fest is funded by ASUW in partnership with HHC.
