Hello Huskies,
We’re just a few weeks away from the end of spring quarter! I know many of you are feeling the excitement this time of year always brings, but you may also be concerned about the challenges facing our university.
These are difficult times: we are facing frequent and unpredictable changes at the federal level, pressing budget issues and disruptions on campus. And while I can’t predict what will happen in the future, I can say with certainty that the best way for us to navigate all of this is together.
As President Cauce said in her message at the end of April, it’s crucial that we unite in the face of these unprecedented challenges. We are always stronger when we stand together as a community – when we remember our shared values and unite behind our common purpose.

This annual event celebrates undergraduate accomplishment in research, scholarship and creative expression and offers a forum for undergrads in 100+ disciplines to gain experience presenting their work and to engage in scholarly discussion with the UW community.

Be a Dawg Daze leader!
Help make Dawg Daze a fun and exciting experience for all undergraduates: volunteer as a Dawg Daze Leader (DDL) this September! DDLs answer questions, support and facilitate activities, set up events and provide a warm welcome to new and returning Huskies. DDLs get behind-the-scenes access to Dawg Daze events, free food and more! Applications are due on June 1 at 11:59 p.m.
Global Accessibility Awareness Day
Join the UW community tomorrow, May 15, for Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), featuring workshops, talks and activities focused on building accessible digital content. You can attend as many sessions as you’d like; sessions are available in person, online and hybrid. GAAD is free, but registration is required. Learn more and register on the GAAD webpage.
