Searching and applying for jobs
Refine your job search
Searching by category is the best way to see all the open positions in your career field. Need to narrow that down? Location, employee type or time type are search fields that may help you refine your search.
Applying is quite easy once you’ve established your candidate profile
- If you’re logged in to our application system, simply click the “Apply for this job” button.
- If you already have a candidate profile and wish to edit your profile before applying for another position, log in to the Staff Jobs page. Click “Returning Applicants” and enter the email and password you previously created. Click “Edit My Profile” and make any changes. Be sure to “Save” when you are finished updating your profile. Return to the job search page to apply for additional positions.
- If you accidentally apply for a job and need to withdraw your application, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Apply to all jobs that you’re interested in and qualified for
UWHR will review your resume to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications for the job, so make sure your resume shows you meet those requirements. If your experience is a good match, your resume will be referred to the hiring manager.
Complete all assessments required for the position
For some positions, departments require applicants to complete a cover letter, writing sample or other assessment. You will not be considered for the position if these assessments are not completed, so be sure to follow instructions carefully when submitting your application. Please note that once you begin an assessment, it must be completed at that time. If you have limited time, choose “Click here to complete the assessment at a later time,” then return when you have more time available.
