Research Integrity lecture discusses publication: The second speaker in the Biomedical Research Integrity series will discuss "Publication Practices and Responsible Authorship." The lecture, by Jonathan Eisen, professor at the UC Davis Genome Center, will be noon-1p.m. Aug. 7, in Hogness Auditorium.
Lawrence's "John Brown" prints in Allen Library: A special work by artist Jacob Lawrence arrived at the University, but it won't be found in a gallery. The Legend of John Brown, a series of 22 prints chronicling the life and death of the 19th century abolitionist, has been hung in the fourth floor study area of Allen Library.
Chinese paper cuttings at Suzzallo: A traveling exhibit from the People's Republic of China titled Cutting Ribbons for the Olympics: Exhibition of Chinese Folk Sport Paper-Cuts, was created and loaned to the UW by the Chinese Ministry of Culture. It is cosponsored on campus by UW Libraries.
