UW Women's Center

Educating for Life and Leadership

The UW Women’s Center is a catalyst for change. We disrupt cycles of oppression and break down gender-based barriers through transformational education programs, leadership development, and advocacy for girls and womxn. We believe womxn’s rights are human rights. Programs and services are open to all students, staff, faculty and community members.

In Memoriam: Alene Moris

The Women’s Center and our greater community have lost a dear friend and passionate women’s leadership activist. Alene Moris’ pioneering work advanced women in leadership positions across the country. We are thankful for her fierce leadership and owe her a debt of gratitude for paving the way and advancing our opportunities as women leaders. She has left her mark and the world is better because she was here. Alene Moris’ tribute
