Summer 2023
Take a tour of UW via kayak or canoe rental. Come solo, or with your UW family and experience a paddle around the Union Bay Natural Area. Paddle to the Washington Arboretum and enjoy the protected waterways and hiking trails that provide spectacular animal and people watching. Visiting information for families.
Student organizations like The UW Concrete Canoe Team, Washington Yacht Club, University Kayak Club, and Union Bay Rowing Club organize their activities at the WAC.

UNIVERSITY FACULTY LECTURE

Our best theory of how the universe works may be imperfect. In the 2023 University Faculty Lecture, UW Physics Professor David W. Hertzog explores how scientists are using subatomic particles called muons to do some detective work.
