UTemp Staffing Program

Join the UTemp Staffing Candidate Pool!

UTemp Staffing provides staffing services across our campuses, medical centers and remote locations. We strive to maintain a diverse pool of candidates who possess a variety of different types of knowledge, skills and experience. We also seek candidates who take pride in their work, are flexible, and have an attitude of service and commitment.

As of August 18, all UW staff jobs, including temporary positions, use Workday Recruiting. To be considered for UTemp opportunities, you will need to (1) create a Workday Recruiting account and (2) apply to the UTemp posting. We will contact you if a position becomes available for which your skills or experience would be a great match.

Length and schedule of UTemp assignments

The length of assignments and shifts vary depending on specific staffing needs. Assignments may include short-term work for unique projects, longer-term coverage for leaves of absences or temporarily filling a vacancy until a recruitment is complete.

Candidates who have full-time availability to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, are in the highest demand. Most opportunities are day shift, although some positions require weekend or evening shifts. There are also limited opportunities for part-time workers. When applying to UTemp, please indicate your availability on your online employment profile.

Perks and benefits

As a UTemp employee, you may enjoy a variety of perks and benefits, such as employee discounts and access to events through The Whole U. In addition, depending on length of the position and hours worked, you may become eligible for time off, healthcare and retirement benefits, and more. For more information, see Benefits for temporary, per diem and less than half time staff.
