Request a Congressional Meeting

Members of the UW community can request that we arrange appointments with congressional offices. Our team will take care of scheduling, and either our Director or Deputy Director of Federal Relations will join you. They have a wealth of experience and officially represent the University in Washington, DC.

To request meetings, please reach out to our office by phone or email. Please include full contact information, purpose of the visit, your availability, and any specific offices you’d like to prioritize.

It is not uncommon for schedule changes to occur at the last minute. Due to the nature of the legislative environment, meetings will be confirmed no more than one week in advance of your scheduled meeting date. Even then, you should be prepared for meeting times to shift on the day of your Hill visit. Our staff will keep you updated of these changes.

Our Guide to Federal Meetings is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the structure of Hill visits. You can also keep up with the latest developments in Washington, DC on our blog.

Please be sure to also review the Federal Lobbying Disclosure Page for guidance on how to internally report lobbying activities on behalf of the University

Questions about scheduling can be directed to emwills@uw.edu.
