The House Education and Labor Committee approved this morning its portion of the larger COVID relief package by a vote of 27 to 21, making it the first committee of many to move on the budget reconciliation process. Among other provisions, the bill (a section-by-section summary is available here) includes $39.6 billion for higher education.
