Living Through “Hard” Times: Reflections and Lessons for Future Predicaments

Are there two sides to every story? Or are there many, many more? How accurate is our own interpretation of the world? In this talk and following conversation, Associate Professor Dana challenges and encourages us to think about how we acquire knowledge, how we reflect upon it and how we draw conclusions about it. What have we learned during this time of difficulty that we can draw upon in the future?

Karam Dana is an associate professor in UW Bothell’s School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences. He’s also an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Political Science at UW Seattle, a member of the faculty in the Honors Program, and a core faculty in the Interdisciplinary Near and Middle Eastern Studies Ph.D. Program.
