Final State Budget Includes Most Compensation Funding in a Decade

The budget passed by the legislature and signed by the governor allows for merit increases of 3.25%, of which 58% is funded by state support and the remaining is funded by anticipated tuition revenue. The 58% share paid by the state is the largest portion covered by the state in over a decade. For a legislative session wrap up, please see this State Relations blog post, and for more details on how the state budget impacts UW, please see this Office of Planning & Budgeting brief.
