Population Health

The Population Health Initiative awarded 53 pilot grants – totaling roughly $1.7 million in collective funds – for COVID-19 funding calls in the areas of rapid response, economic recovery and population health equity to support UW researchers in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the results and impact of these projects can be viewed by visiting our Media Coverage page or via UW News.

The initiative also supported the UW Graduate School’s quarterly livestream production, “Coexisting with COVID-19,” which sought to educate and raise public awareness of some of the key challenges posed by the pandemic.
