UW Family Weekend Arrival Guide

General Admission Arrival and Check-In

Whenever you want to arrive, your first stop on campus is the Family Weekend Check-in Lounge in the HUB Lyceum.

Check in, grab your official Family Weekend badge to access weekend events and head off to explore!

Family Weekend Check-in Lounge hours:

HUB Lyceum

  • Friday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m.–1 p.m.

The Family Weekend Check-in Lounge will close at 1 p.m. on Saturday due to the Husky football game. A previous version of this schedule stated a later closing time.

UW Family Tailgate arrival and check-in

Pick up your Tailgate entry wristbands at any time during Family Weekend Check-in Lounge hours — or check in at the tailgate entrance on Saturday.

UW Family Tailgate

Saturday

  • 9:30 a.m.: Doors open. No reentry. No outside alcohol.
  • 10:30 a.m.: Stage program with remarks from UW leadership and special appearances by Dubs, the Husky Marching Band and UW Spirit.
  • Noon: Tailgate concludes.

IMA Recreation Field 1, located north of Husky Stadium, where Walla Walla Rd. and Canal Rd. meet.

Please note: Advance purchase of UW Family Weekend General Admission and UW Family Tailgate tickets required. Tickets will not be available to purchase on-site.

Washington vs. Illinois football game*

The official game kickoff time is 12:30 p.m.

Husky Stadium

*Tickets must be purchased separately.

Please review Husky Stadium’s clear bag policy and plan accordingly.

Weekend parking

Friday

Free parking is provided on Friday. Register your vehicle online using the links provided in your “See you soon!” email. Unregistered vehicles risk being ticketed.

Saturday

Due to the home Husky football game, we’re unable to offer free parking on Saturday.

You can pay for game day parking or check out our Getting to UW webpage for a list of public transportation options.

Campus is heavily congested on game days. We encourage you to use public transportation.

Sunday

Parking is free in all campus parking lots on Sundays. Feel free to park in any lot closest to your on-campus destination.

We do not provide golf cart services nor rent wheelchairs or medical equipment for use on campus. The UW Disability Services Office has compiled a downloadable list of wheelchair and medical equipment rental resources in the greater Seattle area.
