Nominations for the 2008 Diversity Award for Community Building are now being accepted. The Diversity Award for Community Building is presented to a UW student, staff member or faculty member who engages in a change effort on campus that results in multicultural community building. Previous winners include Sheila Edwards Lange, Gino Aisenberg and Carolyn Chow.
The nomination must include the following:
- One nominating letter
- Two supporting letters
- Vita or resume
All letters should sent to Diversity Award for Community Building, c/o Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, Box 355845. For more information, including the specific criteria for the nomination, go <a href=http://www.washington.edu/diversity/award.html>here</a>. Nominations are due by Friday, June 13. The award will be presented at the Multicultural Alumni Partnership Bridging the Gap Breakfast on Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 18.
