The UW Photographers Group is holding its annual Group Show at the HUB Gallery in the Student Union Building through Dec. 30. Everyone is invited to the opening reception from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2.
The exhibition of 32 works features two pieces each by 16 current and former UW staff, students, faculty, and friends. The artists are: (staff) Toni La Ree Bennett, Tess Morgan, Kathy Hamilton, Jeanne O’Connell, Janet Ness, Deborah Conger Hughes, Kari Berger, and Anita Bingaman; (students) Tom Christiansen and Greg Cooksey, a researcher, who just recently received his doctorate; (retired or former UW personnel) Loyd Heath, Marietta Foubert, Julie Cleveland, and Connie Hokanson; (friends) Rose Hecker and Mike Berman (“Cowboy Mike”).
Concurrently, UWPG’s juried show On The Edge, will be exhibited in the Cascades Academy of Photography Gallery, Issaquah, Dec. 5-30. Fifty-three works by 13 artists in various media reveal what is on the edge in some way.
