We are not looking for a specific bachelor’s degree. While there are certainly types of degrees that are common amongst our applicants (e.g., art history, anthropology, history…), we pride ourselves on being an interdisciplinary program. We’re excited when we see a degree that some might find unexpected.
An academic recommender should be someone who taught you in a class. While someone who served as an advisor or supervised an on-campus internship may be able to provide a good recommendation, for us it’s only an academic letter of recommendation if they also taught you in a class.
You can’t. We do not accept general writing samples.
Technically, yes. But not in a way that would shorten your time to degree. The UW Graduate School allows students to transfer up to 6 credits. Museology students complete a total of 60 credits. All Museology students start in fall quarter and complete 6 quarters of coursework.
No, Museology does not accept applications for Graduate Non-Matriculated enrollment.
