The Hazing Prevention and Response Program leads efforts across all University of Washington campuses and locations to address hazing. They collaborate with campus partners to raise awareness, prevent hazing behaviors, investigate reports, and ensure the university remains in full compliance with state and federal hazing laws.
Hazing Prevention and Response Specialist
Alex Salemme, M.Ed.
Alex (he/him) is the Hazing Prevention and Response Specialist and leads the program. He joined the university in October 2023 and earned his B.S. in Middle-Level Education from Winthrop University. He also holds an M.Ed. in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina and an M.Ed. in Learning Design and Technology from Winthrop University. He is an affiliated member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. During his free time, he enjoys traveling, working out, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
