Husky home games always bring a lot of excitement — and a lot of traffic — to our Seattle campus. With fans arriving by bus, light rail, car, bike, van and even boat, getting to Husky Stadium is a team effort.
The UW vs. Iowa game kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9. Thanks to the rise in remote work and the later kickoff, congestion isn’t expected to be as heavy as in the past. However, with a weekday evening start time, it’s still worth planning ahead. Here are a few key things to know:
Getting to campus on Oct. 9:

- Use sustainable transportation. Whether you’re coming to campus for work, class or the game, everyone is encouraged to take transit, bike, walk, carpool or use a shuttle.
- UW staff: Don’t forget your fully subsidized U-PASS — it’s a great way to take advantage of public transportation options.
- Game attendees: Parking will be limited, so please take transit or carpool if you can to save time and stress. Check the Oct. 9 Gameday Parking Map for specific details on when parking lots open up.
- Parking attendants will be on hand to help — please be patient, as many lots will fill gradually throughout the day due to regular staff and student use.
Parking info for permit holders: Parking permit holders will receive separate emails directing them where to park on Oct. 9, but the general plan is as follows:

- Lots opening at 10 a.m.: E1, E6, E8, E9, TG/IMA, E17, E15RV, E12, E20
- Lots opening at 1 p.m.: Stadium Parking Garage, Padelford, N25, N24, C1
- Lots with limited availability 1 p.m. & fully open at 3 p.m.: S1, Central Plaza Garage (CPG), C10, & Portage Bay Garage (PBG), N5, W12, W24/28
- Single Game Public Parking: Single game general public parking will be very limited for the Oct. 9 game and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Attendees will need to pay for parking via the Pay-By-Phone app or with a credit card.
Single Game ADA & Mobility Limited Parking Options: There are a limited number of single-game ADA and mobility-limited parking permits available for advance purchase. Single-game ADA and mobility-limited parking may be purchased in advance through the Husky Ticket Office at tickets@uw.edu or (206) 543-2200. A valid state-issued disability parking placard or identification (ID) card is required for purchase.
For gameday ADA and mobility-limited parking needs, passes may be purchased on-site at the E1 lot on a limited first-come, first-served basis. To access the lot, fans must present a valid state-issued disability parking placard or ID to the attendant.
Dawg Sleds are available to transport fans from the E1 lot near Husky Ballpark to the North and South entrances of Husky Stadium. Pregame service begins two (2) hours prior to kickoff. During the game, service continues on a limited basis. After the game, service transports fans from the North and South entrances to the E1 lot.
