The newest LEED-certified building on the UW campus just gained its certification. PACCAR Hall, the first of a multi-phase project, was designed to connect community space with academic programs to reflect the school’s collaborative culture and encourage students, staff and faculty to engage with the rest of the university’s campus. Federal update: Continuing Resolution deal announced
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker John Boehner reached a deal to fund the federal government from October to March. This agreement will prevent the threat of a shutdown when the federal fiscal year ends on September 30th. Both chambers will likely vote on the resolution in early September when they return from the August recess. Read more from Congressional Quarterly.
