Students, make your spring break count with career exploration trips to New York City (March 24–27) or Washington D.C. (March 27–30)! Learn from pros in an array of top companies, explore a new city and make friends with classmates on these unforgettable journeys.
We’ll connect you with a variety of businesses and industries — and UW alumni eager to show you the ropes. Air travel, hotel accommodations, most meals and transportation to, from and around New York City or Washington D.C. are included.

New York City Student Career Trek details
The New York City Student Career Trek takes place Sunday, March 24, to Wednesday, March 27. Potential site visits include companies and organizations in finance, entertainment and several other industries unique to New York.
The program fee is $650 and includes round-trip airfare, lodging, transportation to company visits and most meals. The actual cost per person for this trip is approximately $1,250. As part of our commitment to students, UWAA is proud to subsidize the difference.
Washington D.C. Career Trek details
The Washington D.C. Student Career Trek takes place Wednesday, March 27, to Saturday, March 30. This Career Trek would be useful to someone interested in working for the federal government, although other organizations will be included. Past site visits have included the Library of Congress, Department of Justice, FEMA and Mundo Verde.
The program fee is $650 and includes round-trip airfare, lodging, transportation to company visits and most meals. The actual cost per person for this trip is approximately $1,250. As part of our commitment to students, UWAA is proud to subsidize the difference.

Can I apply to both the New York City and Washington D.C. Student Career Treks?
Yes. We ask that you select a top choice between the two in your application if you have interest in both.
If I have interest in both, would I be able to participate in both Career Treks this year?
Based on timing and logistics, you can only be accepted to participate in one Career Trek during spring break. If you apply to both, be sure that you have strong enough interest in each option. We build each Career Trek uniquely, factoring in student interests and availability of alumni in the area who might meet those interests.
Do you offer any scholarships?
While these Career Treks are already subsidized to keep costs down, we recognize that some students still might have a financial barrier. We are proud to offer one full scholarship for each Trek, including lodging and airfare. Look for instructions on scholarship awards in the application.
Am I required to travel to and from the Career Trek destination with the group?
Yes, we require that all students fly from Seattle to their Career Trek destinations.
Am I required to stay with the group? Yes, we require that students stay in the group hotel so as not to interfere with trip logistics.
