Grant and Contract Awards and Amendments for Research, Development, Service, and Training



1. Authority of the Provost

Except as provided in Section 2 below, the Provost or or his or her designee is authorized to act for the President of the University regarding the powers and duties delegated to the President in the Board of Regents Standing Orders, Chapter 1, Section 4 including the execution of grant and contract awards for research, development, service, and training, and agreements, assignments, and other documents necessary for the implementation of the University's Patent, Invention, and Copyright Policy (Executive Order No. 36) and Technology Transfer policy (Administrative Policy Statement 59.4).

2. Authority of the Senior Vice President for Finance and Facilities

The Senior Vice President for Finance and Facilities or his or her designee is authorized to act for the President of the University regarding:
  A. Negotiation of indirect cost recovery rates; and
  B. Negotiation and resolution of audit disputes or other prior contract-related disputes.
