Compensation at the University of Washington goes beyond salary. The UW offers a vast range of benefits—from the traditional to those offered by other premier employers to those that are truly unique to working at the UW. The Resource—UWHR's e-newsletter—keeps you informed of all of these offerings so that you can make the most out of your UW employment.

SafeCampus Resources for You
In light of the recent shooting at Seattle Pacific University, we wanted to remind you about the SafeCampus violence prevention program. One of our goals is to encourage you to report concerning behaviors in the UW community and then SafeCampus will coordinate interventions to reduce the chances of violence occurring. But prevention efforts sometimes don’t work or are not possible.

The SPU case illustrates the point that, while rare, an active shooter situation could happen anywhere.

You can be better prepared by thinking about how to react to a violent emergency. Please visit our Staff Training Resources page and watch the “Shots Fired” video (a Net ID is required). We also recommend you watch the FBI’s 5-minute “Run, Hide, Fight” video.
