The Benefits Office offers workshops to help you plan for retirement. Workshops are geared toward your specific retirement plan (PERS 1, 2 or 3, UWRP, LEOFF, or TRS). Spouses and partners are welcome to attend with you.
Who should attend: Faculty, librarians and professional staff who are participating in the UW Retirement Plan (UWRP).
This workshop provides a general overview for those who expect to retire within the next year or two.* Spouses and partners are welcome to attend. Sessions are held on Seattle campus. Dates vary.

*Note: Individuals who are planning to retire during the 2008/2009 academic year, should register for the expanded workshop which is offered in the spring and fall.
Who should attend: Classified staff, participating in PERS Plan 1, 2 or 3, who are planning to retire within the year.
During this two-hour, practical retirement workshop, you will learn about arranging details of retirement, tailoring benefits to best meet retirement income needs, and continuing medical plans. Timelines, forms, and procedures are discussed, and you’ll receive all of the materials necessary to file for retirement.
Who should attend: Employees eligible to participate in the PERS 3 Plan
New PERS-eligible employees have 90 days to decide between PERS 2 or PERS 3 retirement plans. Current PERS 3 members can use the information to make investment changes and learn about updates to the plan. Information includes:
