COCO is a mobile-based chat platform that offers support to people caring for chronically ill individuals. This program shares wellness practices and connects caregivers with tips from healthcare professionals. Yuwen and Ramirez are currently working to adapt the program to fit the needs of different communities and provide culturally relevant care, beginning with the Latino population.

This project has been awarded a variety of grants, including funding from the UW Population Health Initiative, the UW CoMotion Innovation Gap Fund and the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR).
