Aga Khan University internship applications due April 17

Image of two interns reviewing workThe Aga Khan University offers international internships to University of Washington undergraduate and graduate students through a partnership with the Population Health Initiative. Applications are being accepted until April 17 for fall 2019 postings.

There are 19 different internship positions available in this round of applications. These positions include roles in communications, finance, grant writing, health, engineering and more. The country locations for the internships include Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda.

The Aga Khan University is specifically seeking University of Washington students for the Research Intern – Medicine – Nairobi position, which means UW students will receive priority consideration. This position seeks a master’s or PhD student in a field such as public health, global health, epidemiology, social sciences, economics, statistics and demography. The intern will work with UW associate professor of global health, Dr. Michael Chung.

Selected interns receive monthly living stipend, shared accommodation (furnished apartments) and reimbursement of pre-arrival medical check-ups and internship visa cost.
