Kristian Jones studies how youth mentoring can be utilized to promote positive outcomes for young people, with a focus on community-based interventions such as mentoring programs. He is the Director of the Community Core at the University of Washington in the UW’s Firearm Injury & Policy Research Program, and is interested in how community-based mentoring interventions may reduce firearm violence.
He has worked as a behavioral health counselor and foster care counselor.
