‘Women Docs’ on TV Sunday: UW-affiliated physicians featured in program that moves from Seattle to Alaska

The next episode of Lifetime television’s “Women Docs” is scheduled to air at 11 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27. This is the second of three episodes featuring UW-affiliated physicians. The series, which began Aug. 11, shows the daily lives of women doctors across the country as they balance professional, family and personal interests.

The segments were filmed by True Entertainment, the producers of “Women Docs,” using hand-held cameras. Consents were signed by patients who were included in the filming.


This episode features Dr. Kathleen Sie, associate professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery who practices at Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Lucille Wrenshall, formerly a faculty member in the Division of Transplant Surgery. Also in this episode, clinical faculty member Dr. Katy Sheridan is featured as preceptor to fourth-year medical student Heidi Lowrey at a clinic in Soldotna, Alaska. Sheridan teaches in the WWAMI program, which provides regional medical education opportunitiees to medical students.


The series, which began Aug. 11, shows the daily lives of women physicians across the country as they balance medicine, family and personal interests.


The third and final episode with UW doctors is scheduled to air at 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 3.
