Yes, you should register your travel IF:
You are traveling internationally (including Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands) AND
The travel is travel sponsored, arranged, administered, or funded by UW – research, conferences, etc.
You are traveling on sabbatical, to an international destination where you will continue to be paid through UW
No, you do not need to register your travel IF:
You are traveling domestically (within the 50 United States), even on official UW travel
You are traveling for personal reasons – vacation, holiday, etc.
You are traveling for something that is NOT affiliated with your appointment at the University – conference related to an external position, etc.
