Ana Mari Cauce named UW Provost
President Michael Young appointed Ana Mari Cauce as the UW Provost. Ana Mari is the current dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and a longtime member of the UW faculty. Read the President’s announcement.
Dawgs in the house
Four former Huskies recently teamed up to create a fresh beat pledging allegiance to the UW. Thanks for the generosity of Jake One, Prometheus Brown (Geologic of the Blue Scholars), Sol and Preach the Huskies have what The Seattle Times dubbed a Husky anthem. The video already has over 30,000 hits on YouTube – and climbing!
Proceeds from the song and $2 from each shirt sold will go to the Dawgs in the House scholarship fund – part of Husky Promise.

Former Huskies football coach Don James returned to campus to be part of the celebration. he was also a featured speaker at a reception before the football game vs. the Oregon Ducks. James was the UW coach from 1975-1992 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1997.
