UW physicians and surgeons were part of the human medical specialist team that joined Woodland Park Zoo’s animal health team last month to perform emergency surgery on 38-year-old Vip, a western lowland gorilla. Campus Master Plan released
The University of Washington issued its 2018 Seattle Campus Master Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement last week. The final document responds to comments received on both the draft master plan and the environmental impact statement during the comment period held last fall.

UW named a top school in tech
GeekWire reported on a recent study from the career website Paysa that looked at the most influential universities in the tech world. Researchers analyzed data from resumes of employees at the nation’s 100 largest tech companies and published their data. The UW has the highest number of employees at major tech companies and is number one for graduates working at Microsoft, Amazon and Expedia.
