New from UW 360: Husky football’s Huard brothers

The name “Huard” is basically football royalty in the Pacific Northwest. Brothers Damon and Brock Huard were starting quarterbacks at the University of Washington in the 1990s and both went on to play in the NFL. Years later, both still maintain deep ties to the UW. UW maintains 15th in the world ranking

The University of Washington was again ranked No. 15 on the Academic Ranking of World Universities list released by Shanghai Jiao Tong University researchers. The UW also remained 13th among U.S. universities and fourth among public institutions worldwide. Read more from UW Today.

 

UW faculty elected to Washington State Academy of Sciences

The Washington State Academy of Sciences announced that twelve UW scientists and engineers have been elected to the academy. According to a statement released by the organization, the new members were selected for “their outstanding record of scientific achievement and willingness to work on behalf of the academy in bringing the best available science to bear on issues within the state of Washington.” Read more from UW Today.
